Parenthood Ottawa (PPO) is seeking an Executive Director who will champion and advance its mission to provide compassionate, inclusive education and support to help individuals make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Organizational Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lead the development, monitoring, and implementation of PPO\u2019s strategic plan.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uphold PPO\u2019s pro-choice, sex-positive mission and values in daily leadership and decision-making.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support, coach, and develop staff to ensure success and well-being.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foster an inclusive, diverse, anti-oppressive, and anti-colonialist workplace.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure that equity principles guide internal risks, and recommended actions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Financial Sustainability &amp; Fundraising<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oversee PPO\u2019s financial health, budgeting, and long-term sustainability.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Source restricted and unrestricted funding.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support and advise the Treasurer on organizational financial health.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lead or participate in fundraising campaigns, events, and donor stewardship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage major giving and donor relationships.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lead or support revenue generation strategies beyond grant writing, including campaigns, major gifts, and innovative funding approaches.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Relationship &amp; Partnership Building<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Directly manage PPO\u2019s staff and provide support to all contributors involved in PPO\u2019s work.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collaborate with other sexual reproductive health organizations, including gender equity, reproductive justice, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ groups, to advance PPO\u2019s mission.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strengthen partnerships with non-profit organizations and community agencies in Greater Ottawa-Gatineau area that are involved in delivering programs and services<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, priority client populations, local governments, media, and the public.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foster trusting relationships with donors and funders, ensuring engagement, stewardship, and long-term support.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain and strengthen relationships with marginalized communities, including 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals, Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities, newcomers, and uninsured people, ensuring they receive the care they deserve.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advanced post-secondary education, diploma, or equivalent professional\/lived experience.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong knowledge of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and its intersections with race, gender, income, sexual orientation, (dis)ability, mental health, addiction, and gender-based violence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3+ years in non-profit leadership, management, or supervisory roles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience managing and motivating staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong knowledge of non-profit\/NGO regulations, compliance, risk management, and Canadian and Ontario non-profit policies and financial requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skill and experience in financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and management.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"
