On December 1st, Insight Troupe members Catherine, Heather, Justin and Katrina teamed up with volunteers from the Youth Services Bureau to engage their fellow youth to raise awareness and fight stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.
The collective team of over 40 youth targeted peers at Woodroffe High School with spray stencils and a promise wall, where students were encouraged to post messages detailing actions they could take to support community members living with HIV/AIDS.
Later in the day, the team moved to the University of Ottawa for an HIV/AIDS awareness flash mob. The dance/theatrical presentation was written and choreographed by the Insight Theatre youth and certainly caught the attention of the U of O crowd!
