Hello! My name is Ariane, and I have recently startedworking at Planned Parenthood Ottawa as a Project Manager. I’ve spent the pasteighteen months volunteering with both the Community Education and OptionSupport programs, and am excited to be able to join the PPO team on a full timebasis.
I’ll be wearing few different hats during my time at PPO.I will be managing the development of Talking the Talk, a sex educationprogram that will help parents and caregivers to raise sexually healthychildren. Thanks to a successful crowdsourcing campaign, we now have over$3,500 to support this project. Our next step will be launch a communityconsultation in order to determine how we can best meet the needs of parentsand caregivers in the Ottawa. For more information on Talking the Talk, check out the Resources for Parents section of our website. As a ProjectManager I will also be supporting the work of the Community Education, Insight, and Options and Referrals programs. This will include lending a hand duringsome of our training programs, including the upcoming Sexuality AwarenessProgram.
When I’m not at PPO, you’ll likely find me bakingcupcakes, reading young adult literature, or cuddling with my cat. I lookforward to meeting and working with many of you over the next five months!
