Meet Hailey, our new Volunteer and Client Services Coordinator

We are so happy and excited to introduce you to Hailey Hechtman, our new Volunteer and Client Services Coordinator!  Hailey comes to  PPO with a very complimentary background to the work we do here.  She has a background in sexual  and reproductive health from her position as Research Coordinator in the Sexual Health Research Laboratory (SHRL)  under Dr. Caroline Pukall of Queen’s University.  At the SHRL, Hailey was involved in the implementation of a North America-wide research program aimed at determining the quality of medical care for women with vulvar pain. She also has a great deal of volunteer coordination, program planning and team building experience as former Executive Director of Telephone Aid Line Kingston (TALK) which the Distress Centres Ontario (DCO) Network. In addition, she continues to hold a position as the SIOM project coordinator for DCO, helping to aggregate and analyze provincial distress centre statistics. She has recently moved to Ottawa and is incredibly enthusiastic about getting to know and working with all PPO volunteers and staff!  One of Hailey’s favourite feelings is the burn that you get in your abs when you laugh really, really hard.
