I Want to Become a Volunteer!

If you are committed to a pro-choice, rainbow-positive, sex-positive, and non-judgemental philosophy you might enjoy volunteering with Planned Parenthood Ottawa. We will give you the opportunity to learn about sexual & reproductive health, participate in our numerous programs, be active in the community, and meet a fantastic group of volunteers and staff who are committed to making healthy sexuality a reality!

To become a volunteer, you must first complete a volunteer application form (English | Français) and submit it to Planned Parenthood Ottawa. You will then be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator regarding an interview. We will also verify references and conduct a police record check.

All new volunteers are required to attend our Orientation, offered 4 times a year.  Check out the training page for scheduled dates!  New volunteers wishing to be part of the Community Education or Options programs are required to complete our Level 2 Sexuality Awareness Program, which is run twice a year.  SAP is offered in both weekend and evening sessions.

We also ask for a commitment of a minimum of 5 hours a month for at least one year from new volunteers.

PPO is an amazing volunteer-based organization whose work is carried out through the phenomenal enthusiam, dedication, and passion of our volunteers! We strive to make PPO a safe and inclusive space for everyone and welcome and celebrate diversity.
