Update from Andrea - Farewell to Rachel
Wednesday March 19, 2014

Dear PPO friends;

As many of you are aware, Planned Parenthood Ottawa’s Executive Director, Rachel Horsley has been on leave. She has recently decided not to return to the position of Executive Director at PPO.

During her time as Executive Director, Rachel demonstrated a true passion for sexual health and reproductive rights and worked diligently to increase the reach of PPO.  As we navigated through a transitional time, Rachel was instrumental in leading the way to new opportunities and partnerships. She celebrated our golden 50 years at the beautiful Choices gala in the fall and highlighted our many successes as an organisation. Rachel broadened the PPO network and worked diligently with the media to ensure the success of our programs. Her unique skills and experience were enhanced by her persistence and her dedication. She will be greatly missed.

While the board of directors is engaged in finding the right candidate to fill the Executive Director position, Chris Farley-Ratcliffe will act as Interim Executive Director for PPO. Chris is a long time PPO volunteer and has been a fantastic asset to the organisation.

The board looks forwardto working with Chris and continuing to serve the Ottawa community.

If you wish to contact Chris, please feel free to stop by the office or send him and email via director@ppottawa.ca. I encourage the entire PPO community to welcome Chris to this role with PPO.

Sincerely,

Andréa Proulx

Interim Chair Planned Parenthood Board of Directors
